A lifestyle and gifting hub selling unique artisan finds from all over the world and showcasing talented local artists and creators
Denise & Salima
The founders of The Trading Point
The Trading Point was an idea shaped over a coffee and a dog walk one sunny July in 2021.
With backgrounds in graphic design and fashion buying, Denise Nicholls and Salima Frigot bonded over a shared vision for a lifestyle boutique showcasing a range of eco-friendly artisan products.
They found the perfect location, a beautiful, historic general store in the heart of Jersey and began curating local creations and sourcing products from small, family run businesses further afield. Their mission is to support local artists and makers and also showcase extraordinary craftspeople with an eco and sustainable ethos behind their brand.
Visit Denise and Salimas’ labyrinth of treasures and browse among beautiful things.

What’s exciting us right now.
Beautiful bamboo bowls designed by Bibol in France and made in Vietnam. Bamboo is still omnipresent in Vietnam culture, a resource with undeniable quality - flexible, resistant, quick growing, and stabilising the soil. The preservation of its usage is the guarantee of the continuation of Vietnamese culture. The artisans are paid fairly and work to produce these striking, unique bowls without solvents.
Bamboo Bowls
These Savon de Marseille soap and body cream products are made with super soft Mediterranean velvet seaweed and vegetable oils.
The soap will gently cleanse the skin and the body cream will invigorate and sustainably hydrate the skin for 48 hours. Delicately fragranced.
Seaweed Soap
We are big supporters of artisan businesses and love the boho roots of this Danish brand. Handmade products celebrate artisan traditions preserved through generations and found all over the world. The collection embraces the charms of perfect imperfections, incorporating a refined rawness into every carefully picked item.

The Trading Point Spring Market
Hooray it’s back! For the third year running we will be holding the Spring Market at The Trading Point. The historic barns at David Hick Interiors will be bursting with local artisans for one day only! The stallholders will be selling everything from handmade jewellery and ceramics, original art to hand poured candles, delicious chocolates and local jams.
In the courtyard Beresford Street Kitchen will keep us fed and watered with their wraps, cakes, tea, coffee and wonderful hot chocolate while Mark and Andrew will fill the greenhouse with their beautiful bunches to go and spring bulb pots.
Entry is free and there will be plenty of parking. No. 7 bus stops just outside the shop and we are a pet-friendly event.
Hope to see you there in April..
